Trinity in the New Testament

Our Lord, God, & Savior Jesus Christ.

New Testament verses about the Trinity as the Father, the Son, & the Holy Spirit:

Jesus heals the leper by His wills.

Jesus has authority of Himself to forgive sins & heal, & knows the scribes’ hearts (cf. 1 Kgs. 16:7, Jer. 17:9-10).

Jesus “quickens” (enlivens) whom He will.

Jesus & the Father have one activity.

Jesus & the Father have one will.

Jesus calls Himself the Lord of the Sabbath.

Jesus says none is good but God, then calls Himself good.

Jesus calls the Angels His.

Jesus says the Angels are called gods because of His presence (cf. Ps. 81:1).

Jesus says He spoke to Moses.

Jesus says Abraham saw Him, & that He is.

Jesus says He is, without any predicate, therefore, the Existing (cf. Ex. 3:14).

Jesus says He comes in His Father’s name (cf. Ex. 23:20-21, Esa. 42:8).

Jesus says He is Lord before David.

Jesus is called the Son of the Father, not that He became the Son, but is the Son.

Jesus praises St. Peter for believing He is the Son of God.

Jesus praises St. Thomas for believing He is the Lord & God.

Jesus has pre-eternal glory with the Father.

Jesus is pre-eternally loved by the Father.


Christ is identified with the Angel of the Lord (cf. Ps. 2:7, 2 Ki. 7:14, Deut. 32:43, Ps. 44:7, 109:1,3).

Christ is called the Word of God & God (cf. 3 Ki. 19:9).

Christ is called Master, God, & Lord.

Christ is called the Brightness & Image of God (cf. Wisdom 7:22-30).

Christ is said to be by Whom the world was made & exists (cf. Pro. 3:19).

Christ is called the Wisdom of God & said to pre-exist the world (cf. Proverbs 8:22-23, Sirach 1:4, 24:9, Wisdom 7:22-30).

Christ is called the Lord God, the Existing (cf. Ex. 3:14), & Almighty.
